John Dotson Fellowship
The John L. Dotson Jr. Media Management Fellowship covers the cost of attending the Maynard Management @ Kellogg, offered by the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education. The program is an intensive and enlightening four-week program for news and business-side managers in the newspaper industry. It is held at Northwestern University each summer, and the faculty includes professors at the university's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management as well as senior executives in the industry.
Maynard Management @ Kellogg offers one an in-depth view of the newspaper industry and the challenges facing the industry in addition to the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of other high potential newspaper managers. A special component of the program are the field visits, at which teams of MM@K fellows spend four days at a paper and produce a research report.
