The National Association of Minority Media Executives is looking for an up-and-coming television producer to the inaugural LATV Festival and television Boot Camp July 25-27 in Los Angeles.
NATPE in partnership with FOX Entertainment will extend a scholarship to one NAMME member for the 2007 Diversity Fellowship Program. The chosen fellow will:
- Participate in a customized program of workshops and meetings with Fox Networks Group executives on Wednesday, July 25
- Participate in the 2007 NATPE TV Producers’ Boot camp on Thursday, July 26 and Friday July 27 which includes:
- Panel discussions, presentations and workshops on traditional and new platforms and genres led by working television executives and producers
- Roundtable chats with development executives
- Interactive clinics where attendees will receive coaching on pitching, strategy and project development
- Access to the NextGen TV Competition celebration reception, whre the best short form content created by emerging producers will be showcased
- Pitching opportunities with networks, production and distribution companies
- Invaluable networking opportunities (Last year’s event had over 65 TV executives and over 50 studios)
- Paid accommodations at the Orlando Hotel in West Hollywood, CA for the nights of Tuesday, July 24, Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26
(Please note: the chosen fellow is responsible for his/her own transportation, including flight to and from Los Angeles.)
To apply for the Fox Boot Camp Diversity Fellowship through NAMME, please submit the following by June 5, 2007.

- A letter of recommendation from a source in the entertainment industry
- A One Page maximum resume outlining their background and recent production credits
- A One Page, Double-spaced statement explaining what they hope to accomplish and learn by participating in the Diversity Fellowship Program and the TV Producers’ Boot Camp.
