David Poltrack, CBS "dean of TV research," tells Who's Watching and Why at NAMME Conference on Wednesday, July 12.
Poltrack, executive vice president and chief research officer of CBS Corporation, also was named president of the company's research unit, CBS VISION, which debuted in January. CBS Vision explores emerging technologies, media consumption patterns and advertising value in the media marketplace.
Poltrack "was one of the first to understand the significance of emerging technologies like DVR's and VOD, and has been instrumental in crafting our company's strategy as we tackle these new opportunities. There is no one who can match his expertise, uncanny grasp of trends and knowledge of how people consume media in this rapidly changing environment," according to Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corp.
NAMME's 13th Annual Conference, "Multi-Ethnic Audiences in the Driver's Seat," July 12-13, will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C. Early Bird registration rates still apply: Non-member conference registration is $450; member registration is $350. The NAMME hotel rate is $199 per night plus tax.
