NAMME and the McCormick Tribune Foundation officially kicked off its diversity outreach campaign at the Unity Convention. This initiative is designed to challenge the industry to use the fellowship reports and the McCormick Scale as catalysts in organizational change.
Response has been positive and close to a dozen media companies have signed up as partners in this campaign. Next steps in this multi-phase outreach initiative include designing and conducting seminars. These programs will assist media companies in enhancing their diversity goals and increasing positive dialogue.
Additionally, NAMME will use the McCormick Scale to assist companies in measuring the current state of diversity along the scale 's continuum and build concrete strategies to help these companies move forward in advancing to the next levels on the scale.
